School Meals
School lunches are provided by Caterlink, working in partnership with Camden Borough Council. Caterlink regularly reviews menus to cater for changing trends and the seasons of the year. There is a 6-week menu which changes every term, providing three choices per day and including a vegetarian option. All food provided at the school is Halal. Please pay for school meals online a week in advance.
Parents and carers on Income Support must fill in a special form in order to register children for free school meals. This form needs to be completed even if you wish your child to have a packed lunch. Forms can be obtained from the school office or you can apply through the Camden website.
The majority of our pupils have school lunches which are prepared and cooked in our school kitchen by our school cooks. Our Higher Learning Teaching Assistant closely monitors the quality of the food and portion sizes to ensure that our pupils receive a tasty, nutritionally balanced meal. All parents are welcome to come and sample a school lunch.
Children may bring their own packed lunch, but we ask that they do not change from a school meal to a packed lunch or vice-versa during a week. Guidance as to what makes a good, healthy packed lunch can be found at the bottom of the page in English, Bengali and Somali. Our Packed Lunch Policy can be found below.
A universal free school meal is provided to children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Children in Years 3-6 get funded free school meals through the Mayor’s scheme. If you think you are eligible for free school meals please speak to the school office to make an application for free schools meals.
